Under the supervision of new head coach Keena Carstensen, the team is in better shape and has a positive attitude.
It noticed a few changes from former head coach Sean Morris to Carstensen. The transition between coaches was smooth because most of the runners have known Carstensen for awhile, so her coaching philosophies were nothing new to them.
“Coach Morris was a good coach and Keena is great too,” senior Sho Kodera said.
The team likes the fact that Carstensen has them run new and different routes everyday.
“We run all over Thousand Oaks. Different trail heads everyday,” senior Tommy Lopez said.
The teams’ first meet is against Agoura, on Sept. 22.
