The Lady Lancers had a monster performance on the attack against Foothill Tech in their first-round playoff match-up

A massive performance from standout freshman led the way for the Lancers at Ventura College, freshman Maddie Linville started the game off strong with the opening goal of the match for an early lead, her goal would then be followed up by senior captain and UC Irvine commit Ivy Williams landing a strike in the back of the net for a commanding 2-0 lead. The Lancers wouldn’t look back after this as freshman Luchiana Shattuck would find home to give the Lancers a thrilling 3-0 lead that left Foothill Tech shocked. Linville would once again come in clutch as her stunning goal would give her a brace on the night and give the Lancers a four goal lead. However, Foothill Tech would score a late goal cutting the lead to three goals, but it was too little too late and the Lancers night would be capped off with a 4-1 victory over Foothill as the Lancers stood tall and advanced to the CIF-SS quarterfinals. The quarterfinals match-up for the Lancers will be in Anaheim on February 10th against the Katella Knights who beat Windward 2-0 in their first-round game.
