With school closures, this year’s teacher appreciation week was far from the usual routine of thank you cards from classes and Starbucks gift cards adorned with sketches of apples. Despite the lack of in-person celebration, Conejo Valley Unified School District took to social media to show their appreciation for our teachers.

TOHS ASB put together a video to show their gratitude to their teachers.

“Thank you so much for all your hard work,” junior Olivia Harrington said in the opening of the video.

Superintendent Dr. Mark Mclaughlin shared a video for teachers at Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting.

CVUSD also shared this tweet including a collage of various teachers in the district.

In response to Assistant Superintendent Lou Lichtl’s call to join him in thanking CVUSD teachers, THRIVE Conejo shared their gratitude through word art.

Westlake High School called upon students to give their teachers the gift of active engagement during online classes to show their gratitude.

Newbury Park High School Associated Student Government put together this collage with members holding up signs to form a message of thanks for their teachers.

Also during teacher appreciation week is National School Nurse Day.

Finally, younger CVUSD students did not skip out on the appreciation either. STARS academy students made chalk art for their teachers in front of the school.
